FOR THE SUN HAT
For 54" wide heavier Home Dec fabric

•   1 1/8 yards for the Exterior
•   3/8 yard for the Lining
•   3/4 yard of 60" wide - 10 oz. cotton canvas or Duck Cloth for the interfacing (The canvas we use is a Cotton Canvas made by Thompson Manufacturing. You can substitute with Natural Duck Cloth manufactured by Schott International, Inc.)

OR
For 44" wide light to mid-weight fabric

•   1 1/4 yards for the Exterior
•   3/8 yard for the Lining
•   1 1/8 yards of 60" wide - 10 oz. cotton canvas or Duck Cloth for the interfacing

PLUS

•   1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread (We use Coats Dual Duty Plus®)

FOR THE SKULL CAP
For 44” wide light to mid-weight fabric

•   3/8 yard for the Exterior
•   3/4 yard for the Reversible side and Bias binding
•   3/4 yard of round cord elastic. (You can purchase this in a precut package or by the yard.)
•   1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread (We use Coats Dual Duty Plus®)

Finished sizes for both Hats:
Small 21 1/8” –21 1/2”
Medium 21 7/8” –22 1/4”
Large 22 5/8” –23”
X Large 23 1/2” – 23 7/8”

TOOLS NEEDED: Scissors, Iron, Ruler, Tape measure, Tailor’s Ham or folded towel, Chalk pencil or pencil, Seam ripper, Straight pins, Safety pin and a Hand sewing needle.
